Fingal Dublin Chamber Chief Executive, Tony Lambert Moving to Pastures New

Fingal Dublin Chamber founder and CEO, Tony Lambert is stepping down as Chief Executive of the Fingal Dublin Chamber after 17 years in the role.

“I have decided to step down as CEO of the Chamber from 30th June to move to pastures new. I feel the time is right to hand over the reins to a new person who can take it to the next level.  The Chamber needs to prepare for a changing world of business with new smart technology driven activities to assist and promote the many businesses across all business sectors in the area and that can best be done with a new Chief Executive in place.”

“This is something I have been planning for some time as I want to pursue a number of other projects in business consultancy and make some more time for travelling which I have been putting on the long finger. This is a new beginning for me and I am looking forward to it.” Said Tony

“Developing and growing the Chamber has been a wonderful and very rewarding experience for me.  Working with so many business people who are so passionate about their own businesses is very inspiring. Fingal Dublin Chamber has benefitted from the leadership of twelve Presidents over the past 23 years whose contribution has been enormous. The Chamber has also been very fortunate to have a very dynamic and expert group of business leaders, who have served on the Chamber Council over the years.  I thank them for their advice and support in building the Chamber into the force it is to-day.”

Tony Lambert was a founding President of the Fingal Dublin Chamber when it began in 1994 and has occupied the role of Chief Executive Officer since 2000.

Speaking on behalf of the Chamber’s Council, President Guy Thompson thanked Tony for his stewardship and his tireless dedication and commitment to the Chamber during the past 23 years. “The Fingal Dublin Chamber has grown under Tony’s leadership since it was founded in 1994.  Tony has made an enormous contribution to the success of Chamber which is now the region’s largest business organisation representing almost 350 members.  His passion, energy and drive has positioned the Chamber as the key lobbying group for business in Fingal.  Fingal Dublin Chamber is now a vibrant, growing, dynamic and successful Chamber and we thank Tony most sincerely for his contribution and wish him the very best in his retirement.”

The country is now the 6th most competitive country in the world and we must strive to do even better. To achieve this we must continue to drive a more competitive business environment  and to promote excellence, high quality service and increased productivity in everything we do.” Said Tony
